We arranged an early drop in the mercury for our SMPS Nashville Chapter social event.

Our group got to tour the Gaylord Opryland ICE Exhibit, as well as selected areas of the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center which were rebuilt after the 2010 Nashville Flood.

A BIG thanks to DF Chase’s Paschal O’Dwyer who related to us the story of Gaylord Opryland’s rebuild, and led the tour of the beautiful Hotel and Convention Center while relating the tremendous efforts required to reopen.

Everyone who came said it was a real treat to participate in this tour. Thanks to Brian Murdock, DF Chase and Gaylord Opryland.

Your Nashville Chapter of the Society of Marketing Professional Services is pleased to present Paul Fassbender, Assistant Commissioner of Policy and Federal Programs at the Tennessee department of Economic and Community Development at our luncheon on October 17th.

Paul will give a brief overview of “Jobs for Tennessee,” a speech that covers the state economic and business development program under Gov. Haslam. This includes a new, regional approach to business development and a focus on expanding existing businesses, where 86 percent of new jobs are created. In addition to an overview, he will report on how it’s working, including several success stories.

We hope to see you on the 17th. Networking begins at 11, and the program includes lunch.
