Tucked in downtown Nashville and reflecting the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee, one of the largest construction projects in recent history is being completed. The May meeting for SMPS will give members a behind-the-scenes tour of the project, months before the facility is slated to open.

The construction of the new Music City Center is playing a major role in Nashville’s infrastructure and economy by providing jobs for local individuals and business opportunities for local companies. To date, more than 415 local vendors, contractors, and service providers have received work through the project.

Due to the constraints of the site, this is a MEMBERS-ONLY EVENT and is limited to the FIRST 40 ATTENDEES. As this is a construction site, the individuals on the tour are required to wear hard sole shoes, preferably work boots, and normal jobsite attire (i.e. no high heels, skirts, and sleeveless shirts). Personal Protective Equipment for the tour can be provided (hard hats, safety glasses, and vests), but individuals are encouraged to bring their own.

Following the tour, we are inviting all members and non-members to a social/networking event at Past Perfect in downtown Nashville, located at 122 3rd Avenue South, beginning at 4:00 pm. Appetizers and two drink tickets will be provided.
